A bruise is a common: skin injury, results with discoloration of the skin. This can occur when people bump into something or when something bumps into them. If you have pain you should have a doctor examine the affected area. If an injury is obviously a bruise & the doctor doesn't suspect any broken bones, the doctor will probably not perform any tests.
