Clostridium Sordelli: The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is studying this rare organism- Clostridium sordelli, and infections in women following medical abortion, or childbirth and maternal or infant umbilical stump infection. Infections are rare, and according to the CDC, women with underlying medical conditions that may affect immunity are most commonly affected. See link below.
