Belching: May be gastritis, which is inflammation of the stomach lining, often due to our food choices. Spicy foods, carbonation, acidic foods (tomato sauces, citrus, vinegar), caffeine, smoking and alcohol will make this worse. Avoiding those things can help it heal on its own. Try calcium carbonate pills (ex TUMS). If no better, talk to a professional to test for h.pylori infection: easy to treat if found

Need stomach workup: There are many causes of the symptoms that you describe. Over the counter medications are one of the most common culprits of stomach issues. It would be advised to talk this over with your physician.
