Depends: Head lice are hard to see.It is the active lice, jumping to your hair that could infect you, not the eggs.The eggs are glued to the hair.However, if there are eggs visible, there are likely living lice on the scalp.They could transfer in a hug, or on shared hats/scarves/combs or brushes.
