A member asked:

Can you take paxil 40mg and effexor (venlafaxine) 70mg with inositol 12 grams?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With inositol yes.: You must mean Effexor (venlafaxine) 75 mg daily? Both meds are safe with Inositol, a form of sugar, but Paxil and Effexor (venlafaxine) together can cause effects from excessive serotonin in your system. These side effects, if severe, can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cramping, confusion, agitation, elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Check w/ your dr. if you need to be on both meds.
