Several things: Several things can cause abdominal pain and some are extremely serious. Have it evaluated soon especially if the pain is major.

Lupus and other: Connective tissue disorders can cause serositis, or irritation of the inside lining of your abdomen. But you can have any of the other abdominal conditions that people without lupus get. And if you are taking steroids, some of the severity of the symptoms might be masked. You need a real good doctor to figure this one out for you.
