Possible causes : Include a parasite called giardia lamblia, or a bacteria called helicobacter pylorii slow gastric emptying time can also cause this due to the acid in your stomach causing breakdown of proteins releasing sulfur containing products such as methionine. The fact that you are having abdominal pain makes me think that the most likely cause is a h pylorii infection which can cause gastritis or a stomach ulcer. If you have severe abdominal pain lasting more than four hours, as a rule you should go to the emergency room for evaluation. If you develop severe diarrhea, the more likely cause is giardia. Gastroesophageal reflux disease can also cause this. Best wishes.
