A member asked:

I have a sharp pain in my inner thigh. it happens a couple times a week. only for a few seconds at a time. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nerve pain: It appears that there is an intermittent impingement of a nerve or muscle which may be positional and causing sharp, shooting thigh pain. The inpingement could be occurring in the groin and may have to do with obesity or prolonged sitting. A small inguinal hernia would be a less likely cause. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your physician.
