Not usual side effec: The most common side effects of Accutane usage is dry skin. It's main indication is for severe cystic acne. Women should really avoid it because it is a very potent teratogenic agent (causes severe birth defects) even after having stopped using it for awhile.

Stop accutane: If it is migraine you can treat it and resume accutane. Accutane [isotretinoin] can cause increased pressure inside the skull with pressure on the brain. Then it is important to stop it. This is much more common if a person takes vitamin pills while also on accutane. Pre-formed Vitamin A causes this. Vitamin A [carotenes] in food are OK. AVOID VITAMINS IF ON ACCUTANE.

Pseudotumor cerebri: Accutane and nighttime headaches worries me for pseudotumor cerebri... It's rare, but accutane is a cause. Please see an ophthalmologist to take pictures of the backs of your eyes and do Humphrey Visual Fields. They might recommend seeing a neurologist and an MRI and lumbar puncture. I'd avoid the lumbar puncture unless it will change management.
