Dr. Dev Vaz answered

If you have symptoms: Symptoms should dictate whether you see a doctor for an arrhythmia. Generally sustained palpitations for more than 30 seconds or palpitations associated with dizziness, chest discomfort, or shortness of breath warrant a full evaluation and treatment.
