Should i be concerned about a blood vessel that burst on my big toe? what causes this? i had this happen last year on my thumb.

Burst or Bruise.: I'm not so sure if your blood vessels are "bursting" or blood is leaking out as a function of bruising, caused by some element of mild trauma. The fact that it has happened twice in two years, especially on two trauma prone areas, is not as significant as it would be if this "bursting" was happening all over. At any rate, a thorough history and physical would do wonders to remove all doubt.

I would not: Be. I would imagine trauma of some sort caused it.
