Had groin hernia surgery 5 days ago. the side that was operated on still looks like it has a bump. does that mean the hernia is still there?

Postoperative Check: 33 year old gentleman s/p hernia surgery now with a "bump" in the area of surgery. Please contact your surgeon immediately. What you are noticing may be a seroma, fluid collection, or even a wound infection. It is impossible to tell without an exam. If your surgeon is on Healthtap you can show him your wound on the system without having to visit the office until it is deemed necessary.
