Hearing loss: can be assessed with pure tone audiometry, speech discrimination thresholds and other tests. Inspection of the ear canal and ear drum is a start. You would likely need serial audio metric exams to document a recovery curve or lack of recovery. Permanency is determined objectively on a case to case basis ( I hope you have a quick and full recover)
