Simple tests: A surface culture and PCR analysis of the local area or skin scrapings would help to identify the presence of MRSA, versus MSSA( multiply-sensitive Staph Aureus), but this needs to be performed by a licensed OB-GYN, who can examine the pubic area for telltale signs of infection and help in your treatment
