Tested too soon?: Blood tests usually cannot accurately diagnose active genital sores. For example, if it's new herpes, it takes several weeks for blood tests to be positive. The sores themselves may need to be tested for various kinds of infeciton. If you have several painful sores mostly around the vaginal opening or labia minor, new herpes is probable. But many other possibilities, depending on details.
