Manage your anemia: Anemia, especially in a man, is always serious and you must find the cause. You have a bleeding gut cancer until proved otherwise. If your low weight and anemia are due to a restrictive diet, please reconsider. Your physician must do a proper workup. Cholesterol, despite all the "pop wisdom", is mostly genetic and if a statin's indicated, don't hesitate.

See a good Doctor: Cholesterol level does not relate to your weight. Most of it is formed internally in your liver. So the only way to control is to take medication(a Statin). These medicines are highly effective and lower cholesterol levels. But you need to find an internist who can be your regular doctor to treat your health problems and to guide you about your health.
