Palpitations: Sounds like extra-strong normal heartbeats, rather than the heart racing too fast. These are usually harmless and very common. But, you should see a doctor to have an EKG, get some basic lab work done, and rule out the uncommon things that need to be treated. Until you see the doc, avoid caffeine and alcohol. Get enough sleep. Stay hydrated with water. Don't smoke.
