I am not sure: Have you had the child tested for hearing? Have you had the child to ENT? I doubt the high arched palate has anything to do with word pronunciation or only a few words. There is something else going on that you need to investigate with your doc

Evaluation time: In the US we have "child find" an outreach program that looks for such kids starting at 3 so we can work with them and get them ready for school entry. I suppose you have something similar there, if not, seek out an evaluation by a speech and language specialist and your doc. The kid needs some help and what that is will be determined by exam and testing.
