6yrs vicodin 5/325. i take 1/2tab q 2 hrs. wether pain or not. never exceed more than 3 1/2 tabs qday. but does this mean i'm addicted?

Drug attenuation: I do not know that you can be considered an addict at this point with the info you provided. Taking ANY narcotic when you do not have pain is a mistake and sets you up for drug side effects and perhaps addiction. A physician prescribing narcotics to you if he/she knows how you are taking med would +/- be on thin ice! 3 1/2 Vicodin 5 is not a huge dose, but!! U need to wean off--see ur Doctor.
