Give it a day..: This should improve over the next day or two. In the meantime, you can gently stretch the neck muscles by slowly turning your head from side to side and up and down. If that is too uncomfortable right away, try massaging the stiff area with your hands. Try to go about your normal activities; just avoid anything that requires quick jerking motions of the head and neck.
