Is starting some mild excercise helpful after recovery from a big illness once you start feeling up to it? can excercise help build the body back up?

Absolutely: You need muscles and you need oxygen to heal your body. Exercise will build muscle and help you to breathe more deeply and get more oxygen to your tissues. Plus, you will just feel better not lying around anymore.

Exercise program: As long as you do not have an exercise restriction from your doctor, yes starting up an exercise program can be very helpful. There are many benefits to regular exercise: boosts energy, boosts mood, helps prevent chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes, and improves sleep. Remember to start slow and increase strength and stamina as your body adjusts.
