BV treatment...: ...can trigger yeast infections, but less likely for some BV treatments (metronidazole) than others (e.g. clindamycin). If such cycling continues, sometimes BV treatment can be accompanied (or followed by) oral fluconazole (Diflucan) to stay ahead of the yeast problem. If it continues, it would make sense to ask for referral to an ObG who subspecializes in infectious diseases. Good luck!
