Probably...: If the pain started about 2 weeks after your last period (assuming 28 day cycle) then yes, ovulation. If that is the case, your next period would start 2 weeks after the ovulation. If the timing doesn't match up, then ovarian cyst may be what happened. The fact that it is improving is very reassuring.
