See MD if persists: Lower right abdominal pain most typically in appendicitis (gets progressively worse and has loss of appetite) or pulled muscle. Women often can also get a cyst on the ovary which can rupture and be quite painful, or get pain with ovulation (Mittleschmirz), both of which go away after a few days. If the pain gets worse or you get fevers, see a doctor.

Exam needed: Persistent right lower abdominal discomfort, especially if associated with tenderness, is suspicious of appendicitis. Right ovarian pathology, abdominal muscle strain are other possibilities. I recommend that you be examined in the hospital emergency room where appropriate tests can be carried out expeditiously.
