Glasses: Not a problem. I broke 5 pair at age 6 but did OK. At 71 my glasses are working just fine. If you have them on and it is not troubling you - OK If you don't have them on and it is not troubling you - OK. If you do use glasses it is a good idea for the lenses to go dark if the sun is shining on you.

You're OK: Wearing glasses new or old longer than they are meant to be worn won't cause you any permanent damage if it's done occasionally. You might get a headache from it or your eyes might get bloodshot and feel very sore but in the end it will not cause any permanent damage. You should avoid wearing your glasses when they are not meant to be worn. In your present situation no long-term harm has been done.
