TRY: to avoid DILAUDID its a VERY powerful OPIATE! I don't know what kind of surgery you have had but its safe to take 800MGM of IBUPROFEN (Motrin) ewvery 8 HOURS! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Read directions: There seems to be no benefit to doses over 400mg and too much can hurt heart, stomach, intestines - so don't exceed 400mg per dose or 4X/day (3,200mg)! Also, DO contact the surgeon's office for specific instructions for the procedure you had. They need to be responsible for this part of the Tx. I hope you feel better soon - be careful.
