i walked outside, got lightheaded & saw spots, and i thought i was going to faint. the only thing that helped was coughing. what could be wrong?

You may: have had a transient heart rythm abnormality which your coughing slowed down...If it happens again you may want to get it checked out! A cardiologist has a number of "tools" to investigate...speak with your Primary Care Provider for a referral or more info. Hope this helps! Dr Z
