6 weeks: 98-99% of normal pregnancies will reliably have heartbeat detected at 6 weeks EGA (meaning form the last period, not from conception) with vaginal ultrasound. A small number of normal pregnancies can register a heartbeat in the 5th week, but it's not common. Good wishes.
