What are the causes of cancer in the first place and can it be preventable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No single: Cause for all cancers. Tobacco is the cause of the big killers: lung, esophagus, h&n, bladder, kidney, pancreas, yet still legal, and people knowing this choose to smoke. And gay marriage and marijuana legalization are newsworthy? How about annual death rate caused by tobacco?
