A member asked:

I recently visited the specialist and was told i have a retinal degeneration and recurrent corneal erosion do you have any recommendations ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Separate issues: I hope the specialist was an ophthalmologist and not an optometrist. Recurrent erosion is in the cornea and usually starts with an abrasion that heals improperly. Retinal degeneration is in most cases a peripheral change in the retina which can pre-dispose someone to retinal detachment over time. These a separate conditions; unrelated to each other.
