Dementia pt. showing increased spasmodic jerks after a fall needing stitches. what could be reasons for those involuntary jerks? what are tx?

Myoclonus : Myoclonus is common in late stages of multiple types of dementia including Alzheimer's. Normally treat with anti epileptic medications including keppra (levetiracetam). However if the dementia and myoclonus present rapidly over month this would need checked out soon.
