FDA Trial 7 year f/u: Cervical Disc Arthroplasty has been investigated with a 7 year follow up in the FDA Investigational Device Exemption Study, published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery in 2015. 7 year follow up showed it is a safe and effective procedure comparable to Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) and had a lower risk of subsequent surgery compared to ACDF.
