A member asked:

My friend had struggled with allergy related headaches & got rid of gluten from her diet, does that have anything to do with allergy/sinus infections?

Probably not: A 25 yo female with allergy related headaches removed gluten from diet. Gluten intolerance is still a condition that does not have good scientific evidence. Removing gluten likely will have no effect on sinus headaches, allergies, or sinus infections. Gluten intolerance has been linked to GI symptoms, like bloating, constipation, etc. but is not the same as celiac disease.

Unlikely: Gluten intolerance is not considered a classically allergic condition but more an autoimmune disorder. If your friend has a wheat allergy (vs gluten intolerance) , then ingestion of wheat may cause nasal congestion and headaches . I note that she is already on nasal steroid and thus it is time to consult an allergist re. her sinusitis and headaches.
