Psychiatrist: It's important that a psychiatrist be involved in your care as he/she is an expert in using haldol (haloperidol) and managing your symptoms. It is very inadvisable to discontinue this type of medication on your own as it's mandatory that you be under supervision by the psychiatrist for proper care. Discuss possible side effects with your psychiatrist and don't make medication changes on your own.
