Not necessarily : The difficulties seen with adhd are present before the age of 7 and can be a lifelong struggle. During the education process it may be useful and necessary to use prescription medications. One way to lessen the impact of this diagnosis and to avoid meds is to choose a career in which it will have less impact. A desk job would not be good but hands on job with change during day may be fine.
