Take 5: Usually, when my children are acting out, it's because I have been neglecting them, not taking the time to listen, not responding to their emotional needs, etc. When things seem to get out of control, I take a break and sit down with them and talk about what happened and how they feel and what we all can do to make it better. I also look at myself and make sure they are not learning my bad habits.

Sounds concerning: I would strongly advise you see a doctor and ask for them to do developmental testing on your son. There are many causes for behavior problems that could include hearing problems, delay in development, chronic allergies/sleep problems, autism and attention deficit disorder.
