See his doctor: Commonly, people with depression become frustrated with their drugs and want to discontinue them. However, that is not the answer when struggling with depression. He may need different medication and at the very least he will need help in weaning off his current meds. Please have him speak with his psychiatrist or the prescribing physician.

Discuss all Concerns: Not everyone needs depression . For some people therapy becomes the most effective tool. Obviously only if the person is evaluated can these choices be fully discussed. Tell your partner that the patient should always discuss all concerns with the psychiatrist and every question about potential medication and the potential value of therapy or a combination deserve full consideration. .
