After a trip to the er i found out i'm slightly anemic & have gallstones. could the two be related?

Doubt it!: If the gallstones are confined to the gallbladder and there is no structural damage to the gallbladder, such as gb rupture or gallstone travelling down to common bile duct then anemia is not an asssociated finding. I would do further workup to find reason for your anemia.
