Crestor (rosuvastatin) and kidneys: Your questions says "crest 10", but if you mean "Crestor (rosuvastatin) 10 mg" then the answer is that you don't need to have your kidneys monitored for Crestor (rosuvastatin) or the other cholesterol meds in its class. It is metabolized by the liver. You have baseline liver tests done before your start, then after 4-6 wks, then at 6 months, then yearly.
