I had a venipuncture on 3/11/16 on my right arm. i have some forearm pain around the area and elbow and some swelling and tightness. is this normal?

No.: You probably have a hematoma from the leaking vein. Rx w/ compression with an Ace, not too tight, Add ice pack to area and continue mild use. Probably stopped bleeding already but compress just in case. Will take week or so to resorb the blood with rainbow color tomorrow or next day. No danger unless you are a bleeder.

Pain: this is clearly not normal, often after venipuncture can be some localized ecchymotic changes, but this is more than 2 months ago. I would recommend that you be evaluated by a vascular surgeon to determine the underlying problem
