Hi, every now and then i wake up in thw middle of the night with pain in my upper part of my stomach mid rib area.not seen dr due to financial problem?

Common possibilities: Middle and left- possible ulcer/gastritis. Try Omeprzole. To the left-gall bladder prob. Lay off fatty foods. Cabbage/broccoli etc. Other remote possibility: Hiatal hernia-don't lie down right after eating. Diverticulitis not likely to be episodic. Same with pancreatitis.
