Can be treated: Typical approach involves: rest, NSAID's, steroid injections, and physical therapy, usually in that order. Typical improvement develops over 4-6 weeks, but since most cases are due to wear and tear, persistent exacerbations will need attention. This should be readily reversible in vast majority of cases.
