Salad itself, no...: Just eating a good healthy salad is great for the heart, providing healthy nutrients and fiber. But add bacon bits? Ham and cheese? Creamy dressing? Steak? All of a sudden that nice light salad is a big caloric fatty mess. Keep your salads light to keep them healthy. Fresh vegetables, dried fruit and fresh squeezed lemon on top would be great.
