A member asked:

I have been taking 5000mcg a day of biotin and this month my period came 3 days early and is spotting instead of the usual heavy period that lasts 7 d?

Unrelated: Your intake of biotin and change in menstrual cycle not likely to be related. You may take biotin but it not likely to do you any good. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
