Symptoms?: In the absence of allergic symptoms, a positive blood or skin test means little. However if you have symptoms after eating milk products, then avoidance would be the first option. On the other hand, it is very unusual to have food allergy without any nasal or respiratory symptoms - likely the reason for the referral. Whether tests and Rx will be needed depends on your symptoms and exam result.
