Irregular periods: Bleeding between periods is very common and can happen to any woman. It can take a few years for younger women to have predictable menstrual cycles after they start having periods. Most of the time, spotting between periods is nothing serious. But, if she is sexually active,even if you use contraception,it is a good idea to check a pregnancy test,just in case. This could cause irregular spotting.
