Hypothyroidism: Given it's long half-life, we re-check your TSH about 6-8wks after you start Levothyroxine or change your dose. There are many symptoms to hypothyroidism (that's why you're taking Levothyroxine, right?), some of which take longer to resolve than others, but most within that 6-8wk period of time, if you're taking right dose for you. But weight won't magically melt off w/o exercising & eating health
