My urine pvr is usually 30-40ml. my urogyn says under 100ml is acceptable, so i'm ok. but why do some women retain some urine? i wish i had 0ml pvr.

There are several: causes of post-void residual urine in women. There can causes of increased post-void urinary retention in women: obstruction typically caused by organ (uterus/bladder/rectum) prolapse (weakening of support from stretching/injury often related to childbirth), pelvic mass (fibroids, other growths/tumors); hormonal (estrogen deficiency);medication; nerve function.
