6-10 weeks 1st round: Achilles tendon take about 6 weeks to undergo their initial healing and allow weight bearing to occur whether it is treated with a cast or surgery. Some surgical techiques allow early weight bearingin a brace but tendon is not healed. The re-rupture rate varies from 5%( with surgery) to 25% ( without surgery). Return to high impact activity (unless you are under contract) is 6-12 months.

Depends: It depends on how it is treated, immobilization or surgery. Can be up to 6 months.
