A lump under the right ear. not very large. i can feel it but cant see it from outside very properly. area around is a bit swollen and hurts little.

Lymph node, likely.: Slightly enlarged lymph nodes are very common in childhood due to URIs or ear infections. When they are acutely inflamed, they can become swollen and tender. If the lump doesn't get better within a week, or you discover other lumps that weren't there before, you should take her to see her doctor for a more complete checkup.
